Piano Party is the core book at all four levels of the Bastiens' Invitation to Music Series (A&comma B&comma C&comma D); new concepts are introduced in the Piano Party books. Along with Piano Party&comma the companion books&comma Theory & Ear Training Party and Performance Party&comma provide the formula for a well-balanced music education. Colorful illustrations in all the books are used to reinforce concepts and styles&comma to maintain interest&comma and to motivate. 

Book C presents pieces written on the grand staff with an emphasis on reading steps and skips before intervals of 4ths and 5ths are introduced. Slurs&comma ties&comma forte&comma piano&comma and 2/4&comma 3/4&comma 4/4 concepts are mastered. Students read from bass clef low F to treble clef high G in the positions of C&comma G&comma F (Group 1)&comma and Middle C position.
